He is the Founding Senior Pastor of Empowerment Church, a multi-campus, multi-dimensional ministry with thriving locations in Brooklyn, NY; and Bridgeport, CT. As the Metropolitan Archbishop of ECOBAL (Ecumenical Council of Bishops and Apostolic Leadership), he is also shaping the next wave of global apostolic and episcopal leadership through a kingdom-centered lens of excellence, integrity, and doctrinal power.

A third-generation son of the Church of God in Christ, Archbishop Owens was ordained an Elder in 1997 under the late Bishop M.J. Ellis and stepped into pastoral ministry in 1999. He later served as State Director of Protocol for the Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship under Bishop Paul S. Morton, where he made history as the first Full Gospel pastor in St. Paul, MN. In 2014, he was consecrated as a Bishop—further confirming the weight and reach of his spiritual assignment.

Whether through his daily 7:00 AM Sweet Hour of Prayer Global Broadcast, his work in ECOBAL, or his leadership at Empowerment Church, Archbishop Owens is raising revivalists, equipping intercessors, and unlocking purpose in people across nations. He is the author of The Red Book: Excellence in Ministry and Marketplace, a blueprint for walking in kingdom distinction and spiritual order in both pulpit and platform.
